Abigail is Three Months!

June 12th

No, that is not a typo! In hopes to catch up, Nathan and I are having "Blogtoberfest"! For the first time in my blogging history, I've actually had to start taking notes to remember everything. I am so paranoid that I will forget something important! This blog is one way that I will forever remember all of the milestones and firsts that our sweet girls are having.

Abigail is three months old! She is changing nonstop. I can't believe how big she is getting. We are still having trouble getting her to bed at night at a decent time. It seems she struggles with "colic" even though I don't really believe in such a thing. She just has a hard time settling down. There have been improvements over the last few weeks though. Even through the rough times, she is such a smiler. We can always get a smile out of her! Natalie loves to "play" with her and include her in everything. We really promote including Abi in things so Natalie realizes that she is a little person too. I think it helps that Natalie sees the way Gabriel interacts with her.

On June 4th, we witnessed the most surprising thing. Abigail rolled over from her belly to her back. I knew it would be coming within the next couple weeks, but I never thought it would be this soon. It seems that even though the started small(er than Natalie), she is physically capable of more. Sweet Abi has also really discovered her fingers and hands the last few weeks. She loves to put her hands to her mouth, especially when she gets excited.

Towards the end of the month, Nathan and I decided to take Abigail to the pediatrician for her flattening head. It seemed that her head was flattening because she was such a good sleeper when she was a newborn. We were referred to Wolfson's Children's Hospital to have it looked at. Dr. Woolwine told us for the time being, we needed to have Abigail sleep on her belly to take the pressure off the right side of her head. This made me a nervous wreck for fear of SIDS, but I trust her opinion. Abi became a belly sleeper from then on and hated every minute of it. It was definitely a slow adjustment for us all!
