The last days of summer

August 3rd-4th

The last days of summer were spent playing in the pool, going to the movies, and shopping for Gabriel's school supplies. We had a great summer! It was definitely different because it was our first summer with a baby. Nathan and I were thrilled Gabriel was able to spend so much quality time around Natalie this summer, and I know Gabriel loved it too.

The boys invented a pool game using the velcro mitts and ball. They each took turns with the mitt strapped around their leg and jumped in while attempting to catch the ball. They were pretty good at it! Look closely at every picture- the ball is stuck!!

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes!

July 30th

Natalie found her toes! If she is on the floor playing, she loves to have her legs in the air and grab her toes. I can't even get her to sit still long enough to change her diaper!

Natalie's First "Day"cation

July 29th
With Natalie only 3 months old, it was next to impossible to go on a family vacation this summer. We decided to do a mini-vacation and go to St. Augustine for the day. It's not too far away, and we love to spend time there! It was an extremely hot day, but we walked around St. George Street and went in some of the shops. We made the most of the hot weather by going to the newly opened Pirate and Treasure Museum! The collection of artifacts is one of the largest in the world. Natalie really enjoyed the museum- it was cool, dark, and perfect for a nap in the stroller! I'm very surprised she was able to sleep through the cannon fire. We had a treasure map and had to find 12 drawers with skulls on the outside. Gabriel wrote down what was in each drawer and turned in the map at the end for a souvenir sticker! It is an interactive museum, great for kids and adults.
